All About Theresa Payea

The art room was always my safe place in high school. I never felt like I fit in anywhere else. One day a nice lady named Leslie Cadman came to our school and invited us to check out Lake Placid School of Art. I did and I fell in love with it. I attended the private art school in the early 1980's until it closed. I further explored Portland School of Art in Maine, and then graduated from Alfred University in New York with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

I found my career through  my interest in photography and printmaking at the Lane Press in Vermont where I have worked for over 35 years as a printing specialist.

I'm finally finding time to paint and create again. It is again my safe place where I can forget the days conflicts and escape into my own world of dibbling and dabbling.
